Hi, I'm a screenwriter who is working on a concept for a high fantasy graphic novel. I came onto this site looking for a collaborator.
The story is a high fantasy adventure about a young nobleman who has gone on a self-destructive quest after being jilted by his betrothed. His ship gets lost in a storm and he is captured by an evil, exiled queen who forces him to become her agent and infiltrate the city from which she was exiled. Romance, swordplay, sea battles, masquerade balls and flying horses galore!
I have completed an outline and am looking for an artist/collaborator to put together some finished sketches that can then be pitched to publishers. We don't have to do the whole book.

I contacted an amazing artist named Julie Dillon (http://jdillon82.deviantart.com/) to see if she had any interest in helping me work on my graphic novel concept. Unlike many other artists I have contacted, she actually answered, with well-thought out responses to my request. Better yet, she sent me a link to an essay by the artist Stephen Bissette that really helped me understand the task I was laying out for my potential collaborator. The bottom line is that even though the idea for the story is mine and I think it has great value, as the writer I would be putting forth 1/4 or less the effort
